Jonathan Clifton has a PhD in applied linguistics from Antwerp University, Belgium, and is currently an associate professor at the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis, France. Using recordings of naturally occurring talk as data, his key research interests focus on analyzing workplace interaction. He is especially interested in discursive approaches to leadership and leader identity and has published in journals such as Leadership and The International Journal of Business Communication.
