Jun Nakayama M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Nakayama earned his MD at Shinshu University School of Medicine, Japan and his PhD in medicine at Shinshu University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan. He received research training on glycobiology at the La Jolla Cancer Research Foundation (currently Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute) as a Visiting Scientist. He is currently Professor of the Department of Molecular Pathology at Shinshu University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan.
In addition to being an Editorial Board Member of The Journal of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry, Dr. Nakayama serves as Editor-in-Chief of Acta Histochemica et Cytochemica and is on the Editorial Board of Histochemistry and Cell Biology and Pathology International. He is a past recipient of Bergmeyer-Kawai Award from Japanese Society of Laboratory Medicine (1999), Japan Pathology Award from The Japanese Society of Pathology (2013), and Takamatsu Prize from Japan Society of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry (2013).
