Mary M. Maloney, PhD, is a Professor of Management at the University of St. Thomas. She teaches international business, teams and general management in the University’s undergraduate, MBA, and executive education programs. She has led study abroad programs in London, Singapore and Vietnam. Maloney’s research focuses on teams, specifically teams with members from different geographies, cultures, languages and functions. She has also published pedagogical cases on international business. Her research is published in the Academy of Management Annals, Journal of International Business Studies, Management International Review, Organization Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes and Small Group Research. Maloney loves learning about the world. She has lived outside the U.S., mostly in Asia, for several years as a student, expatriate employee, backpacker and professor. Before becoming a professor, she worked in marketing management for 12 years and has firsthand experience wrangling with many of the issues she teaches about.
