Dr. Muni Rubens is a researcher at Miami Cancer Institute. He has extensive experience in managing datasets, designing studies, formulating analysis plans, performing #sample size/power calculations, and stratification/randomization of studies. In addition, he is also an expert in statistical programming, data management, analysis, and writing reports. He is also a consulting biostatistician with expertise in design of data processing systems and inputs and the methods for validating and quality control in clinical trials. He serves as a member of the Clinical Scientific Review Committee at Miami Cancer Institute which ensures that clinical trials are scientifically sound, approved trials maintain patient accrual goals and scientific progress, clinical relevance of the study is justified, appropriate study designs and statistical methods are used, and safety and confidentiality of the patients are ensured. He is also involved in many population-based studies and outcome studies requiring the analysis of many national databases such as National Inpatient Sample (NIS), Medical Expenditure Panel Survey, and Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results-Medicare, and Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System.
