Dr. Robert Smith is Professor of Enterprise and Innovation at the University of the West of Scotland and specializes in rural and criminal entrepreneurship, particularly at the intersection of both disciplines. He has worked in academia for 17 years and is also a former police officer. His extensive research portfolio spans both entrepreneurship and policing studies and includes peer-reviewed publications in journals and in book chapters. He is a member of the British Society of Criminology (BSC) and the Institute of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE).
