Useful text for Foundation Degree students studying Early Childhood Studies as it considers pertinent aspects of work-based learning and reflective practice.

I like the emphasis on current policy - or soon not to be! The 'current debates' chapter looks good. Less sure about 'early years study chapter'.

This book is packed with information to inform and support people studying Early Years and Education.
It offers a clear understanding of the sector, the terminology, the change,s the value of the 'new' professionals and how and why the changes have come about.
I think it will be a great support for learners developing there practice and understanding whilst in the workforce.
It includes practical ideas and suggestions for studying towards cypw qualifications as well as information and ideas to inspire engagement with the subject matter.

A sound book to use as a supplemental copy to other primary texts. Students dipped in and out of it and preferred to use as supportive reading materials
