Peggy Cunningham Dalhousie University
Peggy Cunningham has worked in many places across the globe. She recently (2009-2015) served as the Dean of the Faculty of Management at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. She is currently a Professor in the Rowe School of Business, Dalhousie University. She teaches in the areas of corporate social responsibility and marketing strategy. Her research is published in a number of journals including the the Journal of Business Ethics, the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, the California Management Review, and the Journal of Advertising. She has written chapters for corporate social responsibility textbooks, has published over 40 cases, and has authored multiple editions of three top-selling marketing textbooks. She has received major awards for both her teaching (e.g., PriceWaterhouseCoopers Leaders in Management Education, Academy of Marketing Science’s Outstanding Teacher) and research (e.g., ANBAR Citation of Excellence). She is currently undertaking a series of studies of persistent unethical behaviour in organizations with her long-time co-author, Dr. Minette Drumwright. Other recent published research has focused on the characteristics of high performing, fast growth companies, values-led companies, and how small and medium sized companies deploy and communicate their CSR initiatives. She earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Texas A&M University.
