Professor Jeremy M. Teigen (Ph.D. University of Texas, B.A. University of Wisconsin) is a former Fulbright Scholar, the director of the political science program at Ramapo College of New Jersey, and teaches courses on American government and electoral phenomena. His writes on elections, political participation, political geography, and the politics of military service, publishing articles in Armed Forces & Society, European Security, Political Communications,Political Geography, Political Research Quarterly and other venues. This research has been featured in media coverage of American elections, in sources such as The New York Times, NPR, US News and World Report, The Weekly Standard, and elsewhere. He served in the US Air Force for four years in Strategic Air Command
