I chose this textbook because of its extensive coverage of language. Most textbooks are heavily literacy-based and my course is predominately about language development.
Comprehensive Text written in an understandable format for teachers. The case studies help teacher candidates relate theory to practice.

-Chapters written by variety of authors/researchers in the field
-Emphasis on literacy, narrative, and cultural-linguistic diversity
At this point I did not teach the class again, but this does not mean that I will not adopt in the future.
