A sound book
Difficult to read but added as a supplemental book for Advanced Intelligence the proposal FOR5906.
Perfect for any undergraduate student conducting qualitative research methods at all levels.
This is the second edition of Barbour's book and Barbour, once again, has excelled with this text. It takes the reader on a voyage of discovery into qualitative research and it is easily understood. Set out in four different sections, it goes through the logical steps of why researchers choose a qualitative approach to research to the analysis of data. A must for the qualitative researcher and for those wanting to know more about this research approach.
When quantitative research is not enough you need a good introduction into qualitative research. This book is an excellent work to do so!
This is a great "all rounder". It has value for those new to research but also to the experienced researcher. Very well laid out and easy to navigate through."
A clear and useful guide to qualitative research-highly recommended to students completing an independent research project and / or dissertation.
A great explanation of qualitative methods - useful at undergraduate level and beyond
A clear book that is easy to understand. It explains all areas of qualitative research in a way that is understandable and easy to follow.
An interesting and good to read book, but with a little bit selective emphases, for example the analysis of qualitative data is relatively short but there is an extra chapter for action research. Good and practical for students.
