Dr. Erin M. Buchanan is an Associate Professor of Quantitative Psychology at Missouri State University, and her research focuses on computational linguistics, statistics, and scientific practice. She received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and graduate degrees from Texas Tech University. Her work explores how to best model and calculate information gleaned from large quantities of text to understand the semantic memory system. Her research into statistics focuses on best practices, improvement of statistical literacy, and how to answer complex applied questions with simple statistical answers.
