Jessica Mantei University of Wollongong, Australia
Jessica Mantei works as a senior lecturer in language and literacy at the University of Wollongong, Australia. Her PhD research, completed in 2010 at the University of Wollongong, focused on classroom teacher professional identity and the ways it is manifest in the design and implementation of learning experiences for children. Jessica lectures in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with a focus on developing pre-service and in-service teachers’ capacity to support language and literacy learning for children across the primary schooling years. Jessica’s current research interests include children’s literacy development and their interpretations and responses to their literacy learning environments through critical and creative thinking.
