Kevin D. Evans, PhD, MA, RT, RDMS, RVS, FSDMS, FAIUM The Ohio State University, USA

Dr. Kevin Evans is a tenured full Professor in The Ohio State University’s College of Medicine and School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. As a researcher/educator, he also serves as the Department Chair of the Radiologic Sciences/Respiratory Therapy educational programs. Dr. Evans has extensive clinical practice experience having managed and worked as a sonographer, vascular technologist, and radiographer for 25 years, prior to academia. Dr. Evans is the Director of the Laboratory for Investigatory Imaging, which was established in 2005, to conduct original research. The lab and staff specialize in image analysis, simulation, and cardiovascular research due to sustained extramural mix of funding from federal, state, and private foundation grants.
Dr. Evans is the current Editor in Chief of the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. He has also served as the Chair of American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, the ARDMS Breast Foundation, President of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, and of the SDMS Educational Foundation. Dr. Evans serves as an active journal reviewer for the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, American Journal of Health Behavior, and Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology. Dr. Evans has over 150 publications that span journal articles, abstracts, multiple textbook chapters, and his own textbook. Dr. Evans was the 2019 recipient of the Distinguished Sonographer Award, presented by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.
