Learning Theory and Classroom Practice in the Lifelong Learning Sector
- Jim Gould - Farnborough College of Technology
Achieving QTLS Series
Each learning theory is explored in clear and accessible language, considering the implications for planning, teaching, assessment and classroom management. Readers are encouraged to think critically about learning theories and the implications for classroom practice. Points for reflection, teaching and learning activities, and useful summaries are included throughout. This new edition has been fully revised to include a wider range of learning theories as well as annotated further reading and a glossary of useful terms.
Will definately recommend for this academic year
A good choice for the mandatory City and Guilds DTLLS unit however with current changes being implemented in September 2013 this may need revising.
Well laid out and straight forward information. Will definitely recommend this book to our learners.
A useful source of additional material for learners working at Level 4, with recommendations for further reading. Learners working at Level 3 find the theories are explained in too complicated a fashion.
Very good book for our postgraduate course. Particularly those new to educaiton and learning theories.
This provides a good link between theory and practice, particularly for those new to teaching.
very useful for all levels to help with classroom practices
A well-laid out comprehensive text which links theory to practice with activites and reflective questions which engages the reader with the text. Really useful to support Unit 4 on DTLLS.
This support ths PG14-19 programme as part of the curriculum studies module. It also supports the student teacher's research module.
This book is written in language which is clear and easy to understan. It clearly links theory to current working practice. A must for new teachers in training.
