The book may be too academical for our students. We would like a book with specific assignments for students to practice with.
This book covers the basic functions that is required to analyze data. Most just focus on the philosophical or process requirements, this text however goes to the technical requirements of what is done with data once you have it. How to break down, analyze and present data into meaningful components.
A much needed text in action research, well-written, approachable and concise. It deals deals with the topic thoroughly and in a very engaging manner with examples and exercises presented throughout.
Analysis is often overlooked in reserach in adult and community education. This text provides a really useful guide

We read some passages with the students but it was too hard for them (2nd year undergrad).

The text has been useful for preparation of material for students undertaking Monitoring and Evaluation of community sports projects during their Workbased Projects
This book doen't really provide anything new and special compared to other qualitative book. However, it is a pretty standard one.
Although this book covers many of the relevant areas for qualitative data analysis and is very informative, there could be a few more practical examples for students in order to better illustrate the techniques under consideration.
Decided that the way it approached qualitative research did not match what I wanted to teach.
